Enzo Maresca reveals Chelsea have four new injury doubts for Wolves clash

Cole Palmer is one of four Chelsea players who are now doubtful for Monday’s. Premier League clash with Wolves, Enzo Maresca confirmed.

Despite winning 5-0 against สมัคร ufabet กับเรา รับโบนัสทันที Morecambe in the FA Cup, Chelsea are winless in their last five games in the Premier League.

The Blues neede an injury-time equaliser from Reece James to salvage a 2-2 draw with Bournemouth in midweek and now prepare to host Wolves on Monday.

However, speaking at his pre-match press conference, Maresca confirmed that Palmer – along with Enzo Fernandez, Levi Colwill and Romeo Lavia – missed Friday’s training session in a clear sign that the hectic festive period may have finally caught up with his squad.

‘Cole, Levi, Enzo and Romeo were not in the session today so those four players are doubts for Monday’s game because they picked up problems in the last game,’ the Italian confirmed.

Asked specifically about Palmer’s injury, Maresca replied: ‘Cole was the ankle. In the first half they (the opponent) kicked him. He didn’t train today and we don’t know if he’s going to train tomorrow or in two days.

‘The same situation is for Enzo, Romeo and Levi.’

Cole Palmer has an ever-present figure for Maresca so far this campaign, notching up 14 goals and six assists in 21 games, but the Italian insisted his side will find a solution if they are without their star man.

‘We rely on Cole because he’s a big player,’ he said. ‘We prefer to play with Cole but in case he has an injury or a problem, then we will find a solution.’

Colwill’s potential absence at centre-back could provide an opportunity for Trevor Chalobah who arrive back at Chelsea this week after his loan spell at Crystal Palace was cut short.

The 25-year-old was not taken on Chelsea’s pre-season tour to the United States this summer, but Maresca suggested his initial departure was for financial reasons and nothing to do with his on-pitch capabilities.

‘The best solution was to call back Trev because we know him and we know he can help us,’ Maresca said.

‘He knows the house better than me – he was born here! He is very happy. I had a chat with him a few days ago and this morning. He is very happy to be here.
